1 Year of Marital Bliss

Happy Anniversary to myself & my husband! I cannot believe that a year has gone by already... I was going through pictures from the past year, just to recap on what has all happened...... and where the time has gone!! Shortly after getting hitched, we moved into a house followed by our annual 'Joniaux Camping' adventures... attending weddings, followed by our 'honeymoon' in 

Door County (thanks to my generous aunt & uncle). 

Next thing you know, I am pregnant and between getting our 

house 'baby ready'... it has been a year!

Weddings: So much more to it

There is SO MUCH that goes into being a 'bride'. Planning & prepping for the big day, trying to stay stress-free and relaxed... and really, just ENJOYING the engagement! 

I love everything that goes into starting a new life together... 

from the engagement to the planning to the wedding day, honeymoon.

 Not to mention the fun that follows!...

Finding a place to call 'home' and maybe even starting a family! 

Today I received a gorgeous invitation to my friends wedding coming up in August. Great pocket fold, with a simple but elegant design. I personally find that, the invitation sets the tones for the wedding!

I am currently designing invitations from my brothers wedding. Again, a pre-fold style with simple invitations & peacock accents. They will be beautiful! It is all about the details for me, I just love them! But I have found, that a lot of brides like to keeps things simple. Clean. Classic! In the end, everything is all about representing the couple, and who they are!

Me, Myself & I

My name is Patricia Dufek. I am an artist... a makeup artist.This summer starts a new adventure for me, exploring my talents and seeing what my true potential can be. 

I recently left my job as a full time makeup artist, after 4 years at About Face. I cannot fully express my gratitude and true pride for what I was able to accomplish & achieve in those few short years... 

not to mention the friendships & connections I made and will forever cherish. Working for About Face definitely played a huge hand in who I am today, and has provided me with some amazing opportunities. 

This summer I will be testing the waters and seeing what I am truly capable of doing on my own, as an independent makeup artist. Fully armed with my talents & 'equipment', I have many weekends ahead of me to prove all (and/or any) of this to myself.  Traveling to a bunch of different cities I have never been to, this will be quite a journey! But I am excited.
Focusing in areas outside of Rochester will help get my name out there.

In the days-weeks-months following.. you will see my journey as I network with local photographers on projects, brides & wedding parties, and other clients that just want to be 'beautified'.
